Since 1996, Karns Quality Foods has offered area schools whether public or private, pre-school through college, the opportunity to enhance the quality of education through our receipt program.

 

Beginning in the 2009/2010 school year, the program is even easier for schools to earn a 1% cash rebate. Every time you shop at Karns Quality Foods and use your Fresh Rewards Card, the school that you have designated will receive credit from your purchase.

 

Credit will be given on qualifying purchase made from October 1 – March 31. Checks to schools will be sent in the first week of May. Also, if you are just now registering your card all qualifying purchase made between October 1 – March 31 will be credited to your school – so there is still time to support your favorite registered school!

 

Program Overview

The Karns Quality Foods “1 for the Schools” program offers schools (and school sanctioned organizations, such as booster clubs) a simple and convenient way to earn cash that can be used to purchase items needed to enhance the educational experience of the children in our community.

 

Program Guidelines

1. If you don’t have one already, pick up a Karns Fresh Rewards Card at your favorite Karns Foods store. Once you have your card, be sure to activate it (instructions are on the back of the card).
2. In order for your purchases to be credited to the school of your choice, go to the Fresh Rewards page. Click on the "My Account" button, log in and then click on the “1 for the Schools” link.
3. A drop down menu will appear and you will click on the school name or school program you would like to designate.
4. Note: you must register your card online to earn money for your school. If you do not register, no money from your purchases will be paid to your organization.
5. Present your Fresh Rewards Card to your cashier every time you shop, before the sale is final. Remember, you must present your card to receive credit.

Exclusions

As required by law, the following are excluded from earning points in the “1 for the Schools” program: Milk, tobacco, all non-merchandise items, such as postage stamps, lottery tickets, gift cards, EZ Pass, money orders, cash received from order, copier machine purchases, returned check fees, store charge account payments, and sales tax. “1 for the Schools” points are determined after the items mentioned above, store discounts, and all coupons (store and manufacturer) have been subtracted. Karns Quality Foods reserves the right to change or discontinue this program at any time.

 

Privacy

To protect your privacy, Karns Quality Foods does not license, sell, exchange, or distribute any specific information about Karns Fresh Rewards participants to any third parties not involved in the program.
